A small list.
A clear purpose.

Updated October 21, 2026.

Launch emails are for adults

The signup is for parents, guardians, educators, booksellers and other readers aged 18 or older. Please do not submit a child’s contact details. You do not need to join the list to read or download the sample chapters.

What is saved

When you choose to sign up, we save your email address, the audience category you select, your consent and signup time, and any campaign tags on the link you followed. These are used to send occasional news about Mark Crowley’s books and understand which invitations lead to signups. No student names, ages, addresses or school details are requested.

Reading and download counts

The site records page visits, sample opens and downloads, discussion-guide downloads and visit-inquiry clicks using an anonymous random session identifier stored in your browser session. It does not use advertising pixels or save your IP address in those records. Browsers sending Do Not Track are excluded from these event counts. Campaign tags may still be saved when you voluntarily sign up.

Storage and control

Signup information is kept in the site’s hosted database. The author’s signed-in dashboard and export are restricted. Hosting providers process data to operate the site. Launch-list data is not offered for sale.

Leave the list or ask a question

Email mark@austindatenights.com to leave the list, request deletion, correct your information or ask a privacy question. Include the email address used to sign up. There is no automated welcome-email promise; the list is managed by the author.
